Argentina have always had an Anglo influence, I remember back in the 70s they had a Carlos Babbington and a Rene Houseman and of course you have Newells Old Boys

Has a brother named Kevin so is probably good at defending, at least at home, by himself.

Probably my favourite non-West Ham player these days.

Incredible as may seem today, the Home Internationals used to be played on a Saturday afternoon at the same time as the regular programme. If you had a player in the national team, he just missed the club game.
Those were the days.

Friendlies during the regular season need to be scrapped, total waste of time and an injury nightmare at key points of a season.

I said we should have bought him a while ago, now the owner of his club is saying 25 mill Euros wont do it.

Lanzini went to L. A. and did not see the field.
Not sure if I want or don't want the same at the Alamodome next week.
(still not across America)

Re: The International Break

Agree about the travel but Yarmolenko looked like he could do with a couple of games last Saturday. Same with Snodgrass. The other positive is that we don’t play til Monday week at Villa so we don’t have players arriving back and missing the next game. Hernandez seemed to miss the game after internationals as a matter of course.
